Key Responsibilities:
· Develop attractive and competitive food products in the market, aligned with MUJI’s product concept.
· Establish and manage the import/export structure with MUJI in other regions such as Japan, ASEAN, Australia, Europe, etc.
· Ensure accurate ordering and stock control processes to maximize profit and minimize food loss.
· Plan and manage food product assortment (Product Planning) to ensure the right product mix, pricing strategy, and seasonal offerings that meet customer needs and business objectives.
· Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, optimize product portfolio, and drive revenue.
· Collaborate with regional and global teams to source products, align product standards, and ensure consistency with MUJI’s global direction.
Qualification
· Bachelor or Master degree in related
· 7+ year in experience in Food Product Planning , Category Manager in Food or Cafe Business
· At least 3 years of experience in staff management , staff training and development, especially in merchandising roles.
· Fluent, business-level communication in English (Work with global team)
· Experience in food product development, with a proven track record of successful (hit) products.
· Basic knowledge of food quality control (QC) and ability to identify improvement points in factory operations.
· Experience in ordering processes and controlling minimum order quantity (MOQ) for production and packaging materials.
· Strong understanding of and ability to align with MUJI’s product concept.
· Experience in import processes (e.g., FDA registration, etc.).
· Relevant qualifications related to taste or food expertise (e.g., cooking license, sommelier, etc.).
· Basic knowledge of café business operations.
